FAQs
About Robot Valley
What is Robot Valley?
Robot Valley is a nationwide community and innovation platform for robotics and artificial intelligence. Under the motto "Beyond Bits & Bots", we connect people, companies, and research institutions across industries and generations – making exchange tangible, accessible, and collaborative. As an independent initiative, we deliberately go beyond traditional cluster or network structures.
Who is Robot Valley for?
Robot Valley is for everyone working in or around robotics and AI. Our core audiences are corporations seeking early access to research and innovation, SMEs looking for visibility and partnerships beyond regional reach, and research institutions needing direct pathways to industrial application. We also serve startups, funding bodies, and policymakers.
Is Robot Valley a membership organisation?
Robot Valley is an open innovation platform. You can engage as a member, partner, sponsor, speaker, or exhibitor – depending on what you want to achieve. Contact us to find the right form of involvement for your organisation.
How is Robot Valley funded?
Robot Valley is supported by EDIH Saxony, funded by the EU's Digital Europe Programme. We are also embedded in Saxony's official robotics strategy through Robotics Saxony, and explicitly named in the Saxon Coalition Agreement as a key initiative for robotics and AI infrastructure in the region.
What makes Robot Valley different from other robotics networks?
Three things set us apart. We are international – with active nodes across Europe and delegations from South Korea, Denmark, and France. We have a strong, diverse partner network of 950+ organisations spanning corporations, SMEs, startups, clusters, and research institutions. And we connect across generations – from C-level executives to engineering students and young talent entering the field.
